Digital Technologies Workshop for Teachers

Unpack the Digital Technologies Curriculum is hosted by GSG from 8.30am to 4.00pm on Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 August 2018. Registration is open from 8.15am on Monday 13 August 2018.

Digital Technologies is the first new subject to be introduced to the Australian Curriculum since the early 1970s. This professional development opportunity is open to all schools in the district and beyond. Primary and secondary teachers looking to improve their understanding of the Digital Technologies curriculum are invited to attend, as are teachers and technology leaders seeking resources to support implementation of curriculum.

Shackleton: Escape from Antarctica

The travelling panel exhibition from the Australian National Maritime Museum, Shackleton: Escape from Antarctica, will be on display at Albany’s Historic Whaling Station, from Friday 22 June to Sunday 12 August.

Shackleton: Escape from Antarctica, brings together first-hand accounts and dramatic images by official expedition photographer Australian Frank Hurley to tell the compelling story of Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition of 1914-17 and his bid to stay alive.
