Tree Planting
On Wednesday after school, Mrs Stone organised a group of students to help with tree planting along the oval near the Multi-Purpose Sport Complex car park.
The group consisted of 11 Year Seven and Eight students. When I first saw the opportunity in the Daily Notices, I thought about how, when the trees have grown to their full height and we see them in 10 or 20 years, we can say that we planted them. It would be like leaving our own mark on the school long after we have graduated.
The planting was a great experience and took no time at all. It was a great chance to relax and chat while laying the foundations for an eco-friendly project that would last many years into the future. We planted about 80 trees in total along the side of the oval, with the assistance of Mrs Stone, Mr Blake and Mr Marques. It was a great project to be part of and knowing that you’re helping the environment and the school makes the experience much more worthwhile.
